The Cime Rug collection by Saba combines a Memphis-style pattern of geometric shapes crafted from a woven wool and cotton mix. Designed by Mariantonia Urro this handcrafted technique is called "Pibiones", an ancient weaving method which is still going strong in Sardinia. The Pibiones stitches can be full (covering the entire surface of the carpet) or semi-full (covering part of the surface, creating graphic patterns). The result is a combination of textures and length of yarn, creating a tactile surface pattern.
